2023 MLCRA ANNUAL MEETING

MLCRA’s 2023 Annual Meeting was held on Wednesday, May 3rd from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Zoom.

​

Presentation: Our meeting included a guest speaker, Paul Lanzikos, who has spent over fifty years managing programs serving older adults. He talked about "Aging: Past, Present and Future". Following his talk he answered a few questions. The video of his presentation is lower down on this page.

Honorees: To mark our 25th anniversary we we began the meeting by honoring three people who have been been friends of MLCRA and the seniors of Massachsetts for many years.
 

• Senator Patricia Jehlen honored or her long term leadership on the Joint Committee on Elder Affairs of the Massachusetts Legislature,
   

• Elissa Sherman honored as the President of LeadingAge, an organization supporting not for profit CCRC's, and a friend of MLCRA, for many years, and
   

• Margaret Hoag, an elder affairs attorney who, in a pro bono effort, guided MLCRA into incorporation in 2011 and official registrations as a non-profit just last year.

Charlie Sokoloff, stepped down from the Board, and two new members, Steve Straus and Maggie Horn,  were elected to the Board.
